Cool Down and Celebrate National Waterpark Day at Sesame Place San Diego with Splashy Slides and Rides

WHAT:             National Waterpark Day is July 28 and the best way to celebrate is by spending the day at Sesame Place San Diego. Guests can cool off during the hot summer on refreshing Sesame Street-themed water slides and rides, including the all-new Count’s Splash Castle, a multi-level attraction that features 100 water elements with three tipping buckets plus soakers, flow pipes, hose and spray jets, shooters, curtains, tipping troughs, spinning and sliding buckets, and much more to explore. 

To celebrate the day, Sesame Place will surprise randomly selected guests at the top of every hour with giveaways and prizes including, backpacks, character plush, sunglasses, magic queue to the front of the line for select rides, and reserved day beds.

Guests can celebrate National Waterpark Day by packing their swimsuits and towels to splash the day away in refreshing pools and exciting water slides including Cookie’s Monster Mixer, Honker Dinger Dash, Snuffy’s Spaghetti Slides, and Oscar’s Rotten Rafts. Not to be missed are Big Bird’s Beach, a family-friendly, 500,000-gallon wave pool surrounded by a sandy beach, Ernie’s Twisty Turny Tunnels and Bert’s Topsy Turvy Tunnels, and Big Bird’s Rambling Rivera relaxing, fun-filled water adventure through bubbling, swirling waters, and splashy waterfalls. The little ones can take their pick at Elmo’s Silly Sand Slides, a hands-on water adventure with six slippery slides and lots of splashy fun.

In addition to water attractions, guests can enjoy Sesame Street-themed whirling rides and a family roller coaster, the interactive Sesame Street Neighborhood, engaging stage shows, the award-winning Sesame Street Party Parade, and of course, everyone’s favorite furry friends.
