Pinners Conference Offers Fun and Creative Learning for All Ages

Name one place where you could learn how to put together a living succulent frame, use machine tools to create lego-shaped rubber magnets, create a homemade soap filled with your very favorite fragrances, and get tips on budget travels? This past weekend my family had so much fun visiting Pinners Conference at Pomona Fairplex, and we got to do all of those above! Pinners Conference was really a one-stop shop for creative souls of all ages. My kids’ first stop was of course, the Home Depot booth, where they got to make a pair of school bus bookends. Then we stopped by Ryobi station where they made multiple rubber magnet in many cute shapes. Everything the kids did was supervised; all Ryobi representatives were super attentive and friendly, helping kids to do crafts with machine tools.

We moved on to learn how to make mouthwatering churros, and of course we had plenty of samples along the way. I strayed off on my own to learn how to make a living succulent frame which you could hang on the wall or make a perfect coffee table decorative piece. Some of the learning activities required purchasing a material kits but even then it wasn’t too much ($10 to $30 mostly). When the weather has been super hot it was really great to have a place where a whole family could go, get hands on, and make some creative and memorable art in the comfort of an air-conditioned exhibit hall. My kids are now hooked and can’t wait for the next Pinners Conference!
